Lowcountry Flood Solutions was founded by Wes Chappell, a Charleston native with deep roots in the Lowcountry. Wes experienced his first hurricane when Hugo made landfall in 1989 and has since witnessed the lasting impacts of storms, high tides and heavy rains. He started Lowcountry Flood Solutions to help his community be better protected against flooding.

In his previous role as Deputy Director of Facilities for the City of Charleston, Wes served on the emergency response team and worked directly with FEMA on hurricane recovery efforts. His background in Civil Engineering and construction management allows him to bring both expertise and a personal dedication to the mission of flood prevention.

A future where flood-prone communities are better prepared and more resilient to rising waters and natural disasters through flood mitigation strategies.
